My childhood experiences ushered in the faith that is a pillar in my life today. Son of a pastor, I grew up on the Iron Range in Hibbing, Minnesota. This was a town much like Somerset with hard working families that wanted a bright future for their children and joined together to promote excellence in academics, school activities, and sports.
My public education fostered visions for success in aviation, beginning with the achievement of earning my private pilot license while still in high school. I went on to graduate from Augustana University, followed by serving as an air ambulance pilot for 15 years, owning a successful music business as an International Steinway Piano Artist, and working as an insurance investigator for another 15 years.
My family chose to live here in Somerset because we wanted to be part of a community that mirrored our values. My wife and I have been Somerset district parents for three years now, where our daughter thrives at Somerset Elementary School. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, the outdoors, and volunteering with the Somerset Lions.
